This is especially noticeable in the profile view, where the drawings cannot capture the real-world curves of the front and rear ends, making the overhangs seem longer than they actually are. The prototype also rolls on three-spoke alloy wheels and seems to be a bit longer than the current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/alfa-romeo-stelvio\">Stelvio<\/a>, especially between the axles.<\/p>\n<p>The roofline slopes gracefully down to what looks like an integrated rear spoiler, enhancing the sporty vibe. The rear section all but confirms that the new Stelvio will feature full-width LED taillights with a triangular shape, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2024\/12\/alfa-romeo-teases-new-lighting-signature-is-it-for-the-next-gen-stelvio\/\">as shown in an earlier teaser<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Platform, Same Alfa DNA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The new Stelvio will be the first vehicle in Europe to sit on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/stellantis\/\">Stellantis<\/a>\u2019 STLA Large platform, which already supports models like the Dodge Charger, Jeep Wagoneer S, and the upcoming Jeep Recon. This platform will be the foundation for more models across Stellantis brands in the future. For the Stelvio, though, Alfa Romeo\u2019s engineers are likely aiming to retain the sportiness that the brand is known for, ensuring that this SUV doesn\u2019t forget its performance roots.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hybrid and Electric Powertrains<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As for what\u2019s under the hood, it has been officially confirmed that the Italian SUV will offer the choice between fully electric and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/tag\/hybrids\">hybrid<\/a> units.
