It’s a little wild to realize the C8 Chevy Corvette has already been around for over five six years. Time flies when you’re building mid-engine supercars for the masses. And now, the first major update is in the works for the 2026 model year. While the exterior is expected to stay mostly the same, the interior is apparently getting a significant overhaul. That’s according to a recent internal leak, and it’s a claim backed up by our own spy shots.

var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:[]}; When the C8 first landed, the interior turned more than a few heads with its unconventional design. The wall of buttons that neatly split the cabin between driver and passenger sparked plenty of debate. Some loved the cockpit-like vibe. Others saw it as a slightly overcomplicated layout solution to a problem no one asked to solve. According to early information, Chevrolet plans to retire this polarizing design choice for 2026 in favor of something more conventional, though arguably less distinctive.

Read: We Scoop The 2026 Chevrolet Corvette During Testing

A recently surfaced GM parts diagram, shared on the Corvette Forum and highlighted by Corvetteblogger, reveals that the 2026 Corvette will keep its familiar digital instrument cluster but will feature a larger infotainment screen than the current model. Positioned just beneath it are ten individual buttons, which appear to be part of the climate control system.

What’s less clear is whether the overall shape of the center console will be updated or remain intact. The diagram doesn’t show enough to confirm whether the current jet fighter-style transmission toggle switches will stick around or be redesigned.

In all likelihood, the entry-level Corvette Stingray will be part of the 2026 update, and we’ll be surprised if the Z06 and E-Ray don’t receive the same updated interior. We’re still not so sure if the Corvette ZR1 will also get the updated interior as it was unveiled last year with the old layout.
